BURLINGTON, Mass. — July 13, 2020 ETQ, the leading provider of quality management solutions, today announced the appointment of Russ Mellott as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). He will be responsible for overseeing all sales and customer account management functions and driving continued revenue growth for the company’s market-leading ETQ Reliance quality management software across key industries and markets.
Mellott, an industry veteran who brings 25 years of leadership experience with enterprise and mid-market software firms, will oversee sales operations, new account acquisitions, customer account management and indirect sales channels. As a former general manager and CRO, as well as board member of an industrial distribution firm, Mellott has developed an acute understanding of the impact a high-performance sales organization can have on an organization’s business operations and culture.
“Russ has a unique blend of deep sales leadership experience built on an engineering and product foundation. That gives him a personal perspective on our customers and their specific needs,” said Rob Gremley, CEO, ETQ. “We’re pleased to have him on board and look forward to his new insights and strategies on how best to deliver the benefits of ETQ Reliance to new and existing customers.”
Before joining ETQ, Mellott was senior vice president and CRO for Model N, a $140M public SaaS software firm, where he was responsible for driving revenue for all commercial teams. Previously, he was vice president of software sales for Intelligrated, an $800M division of Honeywell focused on materials handling equipment, automation and software; and senior vice president of sales for Epicor Software, a $1B ERP software firm. Before that, he was vice president and general manager of ERP provider Activant’s Lumber & Materials division. He also held several software development positions earlier in his career, a characteristic that sets him apart from most seasoned enterprise sales leaders.
“ETQ is at an important stage of its growth cycle and the opportunity to expand, strengthen and turbocharge our sales team and drive meaningful results was tremendously attractive,” Mellott said. “The recent disruptions to our lives and the economy offers ETQ an amazing opportunity to prove its value to customers who need to maintain continuity in their manufacturing and quality processes in all types of market conditions.”
Mellott is a board member of Field Fastener, a full service, technically oriented, global provider of inventory management and complete supply chain solutions for fasteners and other Class “C” items. He has a B.S. degree in Computer Science from La Salle University.
